Our approach

Building digital services involves technical, environmental and human choices.

We aim to reduce the impact of our activity where we can act concretely, and to develop our practices as the company grows.

Making hardware last

We favour extending the working life of our equipment.

Where it makes sense, we use refurbished hardware or reassign machines to other internal uses. Equipment that has reached the end of its use is passed to appropriate recycling channels.

Building leaner software

Performance and digital sobriety often point in the same direction.

We aim to limit the weight of resources, unnecessary requests, superfluous dependencies and oversized infrastructure. This site, for instance, is pre-rendered, with no continuously running application server.

Choosing our infrastructure carefully

For our own products, we favour European infrastructure providers and follow their commitments on energy efficiency.

These choices are reassessed as technologies and needs change.

Keeping control of data

Our approach also covers data minimisation, transparency about processing, and control over suppliers.

We aim to apply these principles to our own products as well as to the solutions we build for clients.

Accessibility

We are progressively building accessibility good practice into our interfaces: semantic structure, keyboard navigation, contrast and accessible components.

An ongoing effort

We do not present these commitments as a finished result.
